UFBF representatives arrived in Prague for the FEBA Annual Convention 2024 on a working visit. This year, 30 food banks from Europe gathered at the FEBA Annual Convention 2024.

The event was hosted by the Federation of Food Banks in the Czech Republic, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. A unique event of the anniversary celebration was the meeting of the food banks with the First Lady of the Czech Republic, Eva Pavlova.

At the official opening of the FEBA Annual Convention 2024, we showed a video about how a Ukrainian girl, Anya from Kharkiv, turned an instrument of evil into an art object.

Dmytro Shkrabatovskyi, Head of the Board of the UFBF, presented this sleeve to the team of the European Food Banks Federation as a symbol of the fact that the strength and unity of the civilized world defeats the power of aggression and hatred.

The head of the board of the UFBF thanked everyone who currently helps and supports the Ukrainian people, thanking the European  Food Banks Federation for their constant assistance.

An important part of the visit was the experience exchange workshops:

Andrii Topchii, a member of the Supervisory Board of the UFBF, presented to the European Food Banks the innovations of the UFBF in working with the final beneficiaries, how we receive and accept requests for assistance, as well as the reporting system in the Odoo system.

Valeriya Sihulya, communications manager of the UFBF, spoke about the work of foodbanking in wartime conditions, the challenges that the UFBF is currently facing in its work, prospects and plans for the future.

The three days of the visit were full of important meetings and fateful news, which we will talk about later.

A Europe without hunger is our global goal. And this event became an important step towards its achievement!
